Warhammer Online patch error

i tried everything, it is so many fricken files it took all yesterday to download the files and then delete art2 thingy and let it redownload still not working, warhammer online support was worthless, the official forum won't let me post until i make a ingame char, but i can't because i am on 10 day free trail never logged in yet, i really want to find a good game especially online for once to replace GW as its getting boring, and WoW too much drama and annoying and dated with every patch and day that goes by, and Cities XL was **** hoping this game could let me taste before buying but it seems like it doesn't want me too...

i tried the dnsflush and ispconfig, shutting off all firewalls, everything i could. I don't have all day for this either. Really appreciate if any help.

You can always ask EA support but to me it looks like a bad download.

i took out the art2 file from its directory to see what would happen, and then the patcher redownloaded it from the server(wasting 2 hours) only to find it gives the same error

Have you scanned your discs lately? Make sure your HD is not failing. Download the full package again, perhaps the installer is corrupt?

I could list you all the "standard tech replies" but they are generic and I do not want to waste your time.

scanned the HD, its healthy.

downloaded the client again and saved the files that were downloaded as it seems they aren't the problem, but it still won't work.This is soo fricken frustrating!

do you think i just purchase this game or you think i should hold this against EA and it prolly won't work with the full copy anyways? Should i go for Age of Conan (and no, NO free trails for a 12gb download!!!! )

Wow 12GB download, lets see at 56k it will be finished sometime in the next millennium.

I would not hold it against EA specifically have you tried the manufacturers site for support? I know ea wants you to register, do you have any other registered EA games you can submit a ticket to?

Shut down all items running in the background, keep your firewall, but shut down everything else especially,,, virtual drives, p2p programs, control panel apps, encryption packages (PGP, etc...)

You can try installing in safe mode. But then i am just guessing because i know nothing about your system.

Good luck. I believe there are some magazines with the demos included on dvd, PCgamer used to carry all the latest stuff but I have not bought one for a few years.

Warhammer was not, imo, a fun game, and the support is bad, as you have pointed out. I wouldn't bother

Just my opinion. I bought and played the game, but lost interest within a month.

I am playing WoW again. There's no drama in my guild. I am having a ball withe the pvp system. In Warhammer, you can not level very quickly unless you do pvp quests. Up to you of course

this is a complete loss for me, EA tech support no response after 3 days, only this forum responded to my question. now i will be taking age of conan into more consideration.

ok well EA support came through and fixed my problem, on trail now, so far i am liking the game, although the graphics are straining to the eyes because they are too dark, no AA, and the lines redraw terribly unlike any other game.
