Lightbulb favourite Game

Apart from the obvious answer what are people’s favourite game or stay on the PC game

So away from city building games i like

Shoot em-up/driving = Vice city (just cant get enough of that game)
strategy/war game = Cossacks
RPG = Morrowind

I like games that give me freedom to do what I want but missions when I need them and Cossacks I think is one of the best strategy/war game as it look good and you have thousands of men at once

Quite a few, actually :

Master of Magic
Tropico
Pharaoh
Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom
Shogun: Total War
Final Fantasy VII
Xenogears
TIE Fighter

Graphics mean little to me. As long as the game has great gameplay value, great concepts, and a great story line, then I would be satisfied.

Besides city builders and sims, two of my all-times favourites are Ultima Online (from 1997 to 2001, then too much was changed) and Diablo II. I'm still playing the latter every so often ... part of the reason is the community (people I've known for years), and the whole treasure hunting aspect.

I have a handful. ^^;

Final Fantasy VII through X-2 with the exception of IX. (Yes, I'm a bit of an FF freak )
Tekken 4, Soul Calibur 2, and Virtua Fighter 4:Evo
The Sims
Prince of Persia
Donkey Kong Country

As you can tell, I have favorites in a lot of genres. The only games I can't really get into are shooters.

Besides the obvious city-builders, I like grand strategy games.

Europa Universalis II, and Victoria being my favorite grand strategy.

For RTS, I like Rise of Nations

I dont really like shooters or console type games. But sometimes I get in the mood and will play Simcity or something totally different.

(first post on these forums! )

Besides the full line of citybuilders I keep on my hard drive, I don't play too many other games.

At the current moment I have installed:

Counter Strike: Condtion Zero
B17 Flying Fortress Mighty Eighth
Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis (If you love citybuilders, you'll love this one.)
SWAT 3

I've also recently tried the Rollercoaster Tycoon demo and the Combat Mission: Afrika Korps demo, which I recently removed.

I have lots of games installed, but there are only few ones which I play regularly. City Building Series of course, I have started Pharaoh once more, but there are also: Morrowind (all ext.), Tropico (plus ext.), Gothic2 (plus ext.) and Thief 1+2+3.

Well, there are more games installed, but somehow they didn't get me into playing more than very few days.

My kids love Zoo Tycoon and Cultures.

It's quite some time ago that I have played shooters, the last were Serious Sam (1+2) and NOLF (1+2). And Rune? if I remember correctly.

For about a year now my favourite game has been Europa Universalis II. Before that it was Red Baron 3D (only game I've ever played on-line).

I would never thought you'd play a thing like Counter Strike Keith.

Favourites (in random order):
Gran Turismo (the series)
Championship Manager (the series)
America's Army (but I doubt I'd pay for it)
Command and Conquer series (including Red Alert)

I've played many games, but most were uninstalled after a month or 2. These games are really the ones I've played for hours and hours (besides the CB games).

I sure am a game nut!

Morrowind + Expansions
Full Spectrum Warrior
All Age of Empire/mythology games
Unreal Tournament 2004 MODS (such as red orchestra and Deathball)
Enemy Territory
Americas Army
Ground Control 2

I just recently began playing good old Caesar 3 and Pharoah Cleopatra again, hooked atm

I've had it for over a month and finally installed it. I won't be playing online though because I find STEAM extremely annoying to use, and the fact that I have a dialup. So I've been playing against bots at increasing levels of difficulty. You can't get any updates to the game unless you use STEAM to get them. Forcing you to use STEAM if you want to keep the game updated is a very poor marketing decision.

I did install STEAM and had all sorts of problems with it once it was installed and immediately removed it from my machine and had to reinstalled CCCZ.

I also play SWAT 3 on my computer. I have in the past played Team Fortress Classic online and few other games online.

Every once in a while I get the urge to shoot something.

Every once in a while, I try to like shooters. In March, I bought UT2004, and I really did enjoy Onslaught. For exactly five hours, then I got bored with it. I still think the game is superbly done, but it's just too fast and too much based on reflexes.

I quite dislike STEAM too, so when I stumbled on America's Army and saw it was free, the choice was easy.

Apart from the Citybuilders, the game that takes up most of my playing time is Age of Wonders 1. I play in a lot of PBEMs and it's the first game that's made me want to design a scenario.

My favorite game of all time would have to be Civilization I. I can't tell you how many months of my life I spent on that game.

Apart from the citybuilders the games that have captured my interest and kept me playing the most have been Civ3 and 2 and Stronghold.
