So now that MarkDuffy, bexgames and me have decided that we need a new thread for the screenies of the full version of the game i just opened one!
->(to see that easy decision look at the last posts in the old screenis thread) So here it is, REED please make it 'Sticky' and maybe rename Gizzas ''Screenies!!!'' thread in ''Screenies!!!(Demo)'' or so... Everyone is welcomed to post every pic made from your copy of C4, give us impressions of different missions -economy and fighting-, of the different climatic zones and the landscapes, your beautiful architectue or your best try, your burned down city, your biggest mistakes and your overall victory!!! Show us the ZOOM-options, pics from the dare-races, the people wandering around and screens of their daily doings... and of course strange and bizzare moments!! ![]() |

I love all the little animations of factory workers who have no goods. In the demo I thought I saw a guy break-dancing but couldn't zoom in enough to see. Sure enough, he's dancing while his fellow worker plays the pot drums. The olive oil maker plays with his yoyo (can't get a clear pic of it
).I really love the wine makers. It's a bit hard to see, but one guy is swinging and drinking from a goblet of wine...the others apparently had some earlier. The sword swallowing weapons maker is cute too. In the night picture check out the fellow in the upper part of the building. I think he might have been next door at the wine makers for awhile. I've heard of a lampshade on your head, but seriously... |

With little to do in Caesarea except training and scaring away the occasional raider, the soldiers built themselves a little two level shrubbery and a few other things to pretty up the place.

Looks nice. This stark pic brings to mind a question though.... Should there have to be SOME type of aquaduct near to have such lush plants around this fort?? ![]() |

Good point, Chazsi.
'Til now they have been carrying water in their helmets. I gave them a fountain and some other stuff. The second shot is the city preparing for the arrival of patricians. I think I'll have six this time. A personal best. I've needed a max of only four so far. Bex, I can do pretty, but it sure is expensive!!!! There is so much, "Hmmm, that hedge needs to be here, not there", and tree transplanting that the dinari just melt away. I wasn't paying attention while I was doing this and went 1500 dinari into debt . I almost blew the entire scenario giving the soldiers some pretty! |

Carthago pics. Yeah it's hard to do nice with all the range limits (let alone the cost). I wanted to do the double roads both ways but it's too spread out then for the ranges, would have had to double up on some buildings.
Need different types of fountains... unless they kept it to one type for performance reasons ![]() T. |

Very pretty city.
Just one thought, though. In the demo, a statue could collapse in a heap of rubble if the engineer couldn't walk to it on a road. In other words, statues needed road access or they didn't last very long. I wonder if that has been changed for the game. How long has your statue been standing there? What does it look like on the risk/collapse overlay? Another possible change from the demo. It appears that the "no fields" message has been deleted. I'm pretty sure that the fellows at the cattle farms on the right have nothing to do which used to lead to that "no fields" message. Am I missing something here? |

It looks like statues no longer need Engineers, Catrpusher. I haven't placed that many, but they didn't have road access. I now use Big Trees instead of Statues in my Patrician block. This is a guess on my part.
Apparently the No Fields is also gone. I just see what you have & then the No Room one along with a "Resting". Last edited by MarkDuffy; 12-03-2006 at 03:37 AM. |

The no fields do still show though. It seems rarer for beef. With veggy or grain, if there are no unworked (open) fields then you get the message. I think with beef if there's even one cow left to be slaughtered you won't get the message (that's much more likely than having an open field) as they'll walk off to do the work. Didn't do huge testing other than just deleting all my pastures and the message soon popped up. BTW I think they only do that 'nothing to do' routine when the farm stores are empty. T. |
