Someone in the German Caesar4-forum has had problems while playing the demo just like many others here.
His mouse-functions seemed to act like "being braked or hindered".

No matter what he tried optionwise.............still the same.
A laser-mouse was in use.

With TweakUI (from PowerToys for Windows XP) the problem could be settled!

There is an option "Hover" which is located in the MOUSE-file.
The option to change is called "Hovertime".
Changing the "Hover Sensitivity" up to 50 did the trick for him.

Hoping it helps someone with mouse-problems...............

hmmm....I'm using a Razer Copperhead. (driver V. 6.07, firmware V. 6.17)

I have the ability to change the polling rate and the DPI. The polling rates possible for it are 125hz, 500hz and 1000hz. The DPI range is 400dpi, 800dpi, 1600dpi and 2000dpi. It allows for five profiles to be loaded. I only use two, one for gaming and one for word processing/graphics work.

So, here's the deal. When I got Caesar the set up I had worked well enough. As the cities got bigger, the mouse would tend to drag, which I chalked up to the amount of data having to be redrawn. Well, I made an adjustment to the mouse and unfortunately forgot how it was set up before!

Now, the mouse drags so slowly, then jumps so suddenly I can't play Caesar at all, though it hasn't affected other games I play, or working with Office programs such as Word, or Paint Shop Pro...Internet Explorer 7, etc. THIS has led me to believe there is a mouse setting as far as dpi and polling that the game prefers. Would someone be so kind as to tell me what these are, so I can reset my profile to something Caesar likes?

Thanks. :)

PS Setting the hover time from 100ms to 50ms was no help. I don't want to start tweaking all three settings blindly, not knowing which one is causing the problem, or if it's a matter of all three...both?
