I saw that your computer just exactly meet the minimum system requirements. So, if you play it, most probably you will have a very laggy game. I saw that you are using nVidia MX4000 graphic card and a few person also using it and have a similar problem. Maybe its the graphic card problem.
Thanks:)
P.S. I think some other people may be more helpful as they know better than me:p
Thanks for the info, Phil....
I was afraid you were going to say I need a new graphics card:(

It is just the push I need. My son has been buggin' about getting a new graphic card so he can play Battlefield 2. I will definately have to upgrade before C4 hits the stores.
Hmmm... I will have to upgrade and not let him know for awhile. Othewise we will be fighting over the computer!:p

GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU
From the looks of it you don't have a video card, but rather a video chipset based on GeForce4 MX card series.
This is more than likely going to be a problem with the demo as many of the MX series cards are not DX9 compliant, which is required by the demo.
The drivers for it are also about three years old, as are your audio driver files.
So if you are having a problem running the demo all this is more than likely your problem. You will probably need a good stand alone video card that is DirectX 9 compliant.

Thanks for your help, i've already tried to run it on drive "c" and "d" but it didn't work. To explain the problem correctly, when i try to start a new game, it freezes on the loading screen. And to return to Windows, i press alt+tab and there is an error saying "Script compile failed". Sorry for not telling this details before;).

Do you lag while playing the demo? As I saw your PC spec is among the best in the players who have problem. The only thing I saw is quite 'old' is the proccessor. Its only 2.4GHz. Overall your PC is still ok, I think that should be no problem. If you found the game is a bit lag, try to perform a 'clean-up' for your PC. I don't know about Radeon, but I think thats better than my nVidia 6600gt :P
Thanks:)

If you see my previous post, I already said that the minimum is 1.6GHz. Of course, a better will make the game smoother. I think there isn't anything that wants a older thing and cannot run on a better thing (especially new games, I cant guarantee that old games can run on new PC). I got Intel P4 3.2GHz processor but I still lagging heavily.... (actually overall my PC spec is better than most of the people but I still lag even they didn't lag.
Thanks:)

Juliopatra, your base computer is powerful and fast enough and has enough RAM.
You may want to consider a newer video card. You have an ATI Radeon 9200 now, you might want to consider a card from ATI that Norman, from Tilted Mill mentioned, that being the ATI Radeon X800 w/256MB in this post:
http://www.tiltedmill.com/forums/showpost.php?p=114075&postcount=17
Your 9200 card is a AGP slot type an so is the X800 so ti should be a simple plugin replacement.
There are a number of good sound card manufacturers out there, Sound Blaster (Creative Labs) and Turtle Beach are two of the most popular types.
I would go to the manufacturer's websites first and find out what their latest models are and look for those. If you go to a catalog site or a store first, you could end up buying an old model they are pushing to get rid of them.

Thank you Phil & Keith & Need Help. I appreciate the effort you made to answer my questions.
I will update my audio drivers Phil...so far no problem there in playing the demo. And Keith, I will definitely be acquiring a new video card, so I value your suggestion.
So far, other than sharing the small complaints I have heard from other C4 demo players, I obviously have had no major problems so far. Thank the goddess for that.
And, Need Help, no I do not have any more lag than anyone else, only the small ones that are glitches in the demo. Thanks for your input though.
This happens to be my daughter's computer, so I bribed her by telling her I will purchase a laptop for her in trade for this computer. I know this pc is a bit older, but it still works fine. ;-)
Mercy buckets gentlemen!

Me too, I have a dark screen with the demo. Game is loaded, sound is working, and i can see the mouse and click with it. No problem with audio.
I tried to load the game with a 60Hz screen refresh (my screen is 75Hz) but it didnt work (just killed my eyes). I tried to update my graphic card drivers. Can you help me? Here's my DxDiag.

You definitely need a new video card as Phil mentioned.
You want the maximum page file to be at least 1.5x to 2x the amount of physical RAM on your system.
Right click on the My Computer icon on the desktop and select Properties.
Then click on the Advanced tab of the System Properties menu.
Select the Settings button from the Performance section.
On the Performance menu, click on the Advanced tab.
Click on the Change button near the bottom of the menu in the Virtual Memory section.
Click Custom Size in the "Page file size for selected drive section."
Set the minumum for 1536 and the maximum for 3072 and click SET.
Close OK, close all windows and reboot the system.
1536 and 3072 are what I have my 1024MB (1GB) system set for.
Newer audio drivers would not hurt.
