Help Black screen

i am using win Xp pro with Nvidia Geforce 4mx 440 with AGP8X and using newest drivers and still getting an black screen.

The MX440 is a DX7 card it may not be compliant with the DX9 features of the game.

I you want try the unofficial 91.33 beta drivers found here:

Be sure you uninstall your current drivers first, reboot, and then install your next driver.

I have them and they work for everything no probs but still black screen on Ceaser IV demo

All I can say is, that it is probably due to your MX440 card then. It's probably not capable of executing one or more of the DX9 graphics functions of the demo.
