I received this error after initially having received the error it seems alot of people have when trying to load the game.
Now I can't even enter the game without having this strange security module error coming up.
I've included the dxdiag file.

Edit : that is I thought I had included it. Bah, trying again

It sounds like the SecuROM security in the demo is having a problem with something on your system.

Right click on the Caesar IV demo icon or the Caesar IV EXE file, select the LAUNCH ANALYSIS from the list.

When it id is done look in the C:\ folder for a file named AnalysisLog.sr0. Put this file in a zipfile and email it with a description of the problem and the name of the game to support@securom.com. They will look at it and get back to you.

BTW, your audio drivers are 4 years old and need updating and if you have the game installed on your E: drive you don't have enough free space. 2.0GB free space minimum is required where the game is installed.

Ahh thank you for the quick reply!
It is very strange though that this problem suddenly appeared, it wasn't there a moment ago, then what I had was the loading screen error.

I also can't believe my name is "Haughty Caesar", but that's another story.

I will try to follow your instructions and attempt a reinstall to see if I can't dispose of the pesky securom bug.

Someone else did what I suggested and they heard back almost immediately. So the soone you try the sooner they'll get back to you. I'm sure their on alert now for Caesar IV issues.

It seems that the changes I made (directx and various drivers) wasn't quite incorporated into the install of C4 made prior to those changes, I reinstalled it and it worked great.

The security error in my case disappeared after the reinstall as did all other errors. Thanks for the help, Keith! :)
