Installation Problems on Laptop. Please Help.

I am trying to download CotN and while it's installing, it says that varios files such as "Pharoah_REST_STAND" and random things like that are not available. It tells me to click "Retry" to verify that these files exist, so I do. But then other ones pop up, and sometimes no matter how many times I click Retry, it doesn't verify it or something. I called Technical Support just now and he said that update my video card but other than that, there's not much more they can do. Should I do that? Please help.:confused:

You must install the game from a user account on your PC that has local administrator priveledges. Make sure the account you use is the local administrator or is in the local admin's "group."

I would try a fresh install of the game. Uninstall the game. If you have had yoru system for a while, do a disk cleanup and defragmentation of the hard drive. Then reboot the system to the Safe Mode and install the game that way. Reboot back to normal and see how it goes.

From what I can tell your ATI Mobility Radeon X300 should be able to run the game. You might want to check ATI for a newer driver, yours about a year old. If you decide to to update the drivers make sure you uninstall the current ATI driver before you install the new version.

Dell should also have some updates for your X300 too. However, their updates are usually not quite as current as the ones from ATI themselves.
