Cannot install English Language version cotn

Hi All,
Just trying to install cotn on my laptop, xp home, just bought it from Amazon. When I try and select Englush language during the install, it just hangs. If I try French it works but not exactly what I had in mind. Anybody help here??? I just want to install language version.:mad:

Check the CD for any fingerprints, dirt or smudges that could be causing a read problem by the CD drive. It just might have something obscuring the point on the CD where the english install is located.

Clean any spots with a very soft cloth. Wipe from inner hub outward toward the edge. Never go around the CD in circular motion.

If that does't work try the following:

1. Create a new folder and open it.

2. Use My Computer to OPEN the list of files on the drive conatining the CotN CD. You want to see the files not run the installer or the autorun popup. If you get the autorun menu just close it.

3. With the list of files on the CD in view in the My Computer window press the following combination of CTRL+A (select all). This should highlight everything. Now COPY everything (files and folders) that you have selected.

4. PASTE the contents to the new folder you created. Run the Setup.exe file from there by double left clicking on it.

You can later delete the new folder and the contents whether or not the install works.
