I'm getting random frequent crashes to the desktop. I have no idea why :(
Here is my diaxdia, if you need any more info please tell.

Main problem I see is the lack of free space on your primary drive. Windows usually likes to have 20% free psace to move files around and provide for the page file. Your primary drive has free space than that at about 3% free psace. Even if CotN isn't installed on your primary drive windows still have to move files around.

Alright, I have now cleaned out my harddrives so there is atleast 20% free. Problem still exists :(

Now let`s see............
you have installed OMEGA-drivers for your ATI-card which isn`t wrong, but did you use a driver-cleaner before installing OMEGA?
Try out instead of Current Mode: 1152 x 864 (32 bit) (75Hz)
this Mode:1024 x 768 16bit 60Hz
Do a defrag of C in case the game is on there.
If that does not help, uninstall it from C, defrag D/E and install it there please.
What`s with drives F and H ? Are they virtual?
CotN does "not like" virtuals on pc`s.

Did you update your audio drivers? Their a bit old, and could be causing the problem.

I have no idea what sound device I have so I don't know where to find new drivers to it. I been trying to figure that out for so long, any help and I would be very grateful.

HD Audio appears to be an Intel product (http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/hdaudio.htm). It's probably a chip builtin to the motherboard. The phrase "Bakre utgång för HD Audio" from the best I can make out appears to mean "HD Audio rear output" (with HD AUDIO being the Intel product name.)
Usually drivers for these types of systems are supplied by the board manufacture or the place that built your system. You may want to check with them to see if they have a newer driver for your system.
Microsoft Device Driver Interface for HD Audio (http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/device/audio/HDAudioDDI.mspx)
I couldn't seem to find an actual driver update file though. It seems like I'm not the only one having a problem locating the patch or driver update. I noticed the same complaint on other boards with messages dealing with the HD Audio update.
It may require a Microsoft update to change. You seem to have a older version of the HD Audio files than the two mentioned in this discussion on another website: http://www.notebookforums.com/archive/index.php/t-66179.html. Yours are 5010 and they are talking about 5011 and 5012.

Ok, its looking much better now.
Have you tried cleaning your registry out?
You can do it with a small handy program called RegSeeker that I mentioned here (http://www.tiltedmill.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8078). If you use it follow the exmple sited there.
Or...
You can run the new Microsoft Live Safety Center (http://safety.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm). It will scan your system and registry over the internet and then it will do a complete cleanup for you if you select the FULL SERVICE option. I ran it on my own system about a week ago.
Or....
You can take a more minimal step by uninstalling the game, then doing a hard drive cleanup and then a defrag. Then reinstall the game and the patch.

I can play half-life 2 on highest easy. I have now updated my sound drivers, defraged all my harddrives, ran the windows live scan, deleted and reinstalled graphic drivers, sold my soul to satan and it will still crash.
Looks like it's not ment for me to play this game :(

deleted and reinstalled graphic drivers
1.)Why not try and get rid of the OMEGA and use the ATI-CATALYST-drivers instead?
Latest version being 6.4
2.) Yesterday I asked you do try this Mode: 1024 x 768 16bit 60Hz
..........you still have it on 32 bit......
3.) thanks for defragging!
4,) What`s with drives F and H ? Are they virtual ????
5.) are the left-overs of "Total Annihilation" out.....as Phil suggested?
6.) have you used RegSeeker? any results?
7.) any results from Microsoft Live Safety Center??

Apples and oranges, two entirely different games and the demands upon your system are very different.

Have you done the things Manni suggested and responded to the items he asked about?
Cleaned out the registry?
Uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the patch?

Here is my newest dxdiag. I tried plugging out both extra harddrives and still no luck.
I cleaned on my registry and disabled my antivirus program.

You know, it's happened before and it has worked, try reverting back to an older ATI Catalyst driver set. If you have Catalyst drivers installed now, use the ATI uninstaller program you can get from them.
Try the driver CATALYST 5.1 Windows XP - Driver Download (https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswer.asp?questionID=1442)
dated 01/17/05 and see what happens. Read the full notes on the website before you install it.
"Note: The WDM Capture drivers (version 6.14.10.6246) included in the high speed bundles and available for download separately are not supported on the ALL-IN-WONDER® X600 PRO and ALL-IN-WONDER® X800 XT at this time. Please use the WDM Capture drivers provided on your installation CD."
If it doesn't work, you can always reinstall the newer driver after uninstalling the 5.1 drivers, of course. You can always try "newer" older versions later until you find one that runs older and newer games without problems.
I know it's a lot of bother but it could just do the trick. I'm still running the old version 4.9 drivers on my 9800 Pro and have no problems. I don't know how far back you can go for drivers that support the X600/X550.

Right. Instead of changing the MSCONFIG file, however, he could just do a SAFE MODE reboot and see if the game will run in the Safe Mode. Safe Mode disables all that other stuff.
If he has Daemon Tools installed SecuROM should keep the game from booting up at all if he has added those tools after installing the game or keep him from installing the game if the tools already exist at the time of the install. Daemon Tools must be removed before SecuROM will let the game install or work.

Possibly an odd question here, but are you trying to run CotN from the Samsung drive? If so it might be that godawful securom. I couldn't get the game to play for anything on one of those, then it started to work but would just randomly crash....I eventually bought a different brand drive and popped it in...never had a problem after that. :D

The CD drive only comes into play at startup. It shouldn't be the cause of random crashes during gameplay itself.

Tell that to the CD drive.

Every hardware manufacturer has problematic model designs. My Samsung SD-616T ROM drive hasn't given me any problems. It's my D: drive and the one I install and run all my games from.

How about tryind to find a worked-over firmware for your SONY DVD-ROM DDU1621 ?
First of all you have to give news about the present firmware-version on that drive. Please go to http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Info_Tool.html
and download the FREE-available "info-tool", install and run it. Result as seen on screenie, give us the present firmware-version from BOTH YOUR DRIVES.
Thanks

Here is another possible reason for your "problems":
I have noticed that on your very first dxdiag you gave us
you had THIS graph-driver for your RADEON X600/X550 Series (Omega 3.8.231) installed.
Now you have ATI-Catalyst Driver Version: 6.14.0010.6606 from Date/Size: 3/22/2006 which is CATALYST-version 6.4 (the latest available) installed......and it still doesn`t work.
At the very beginning of your pc you MUST have had an ATI-driver on board (I guess) but "some day" you installed an OMEGA-driver.
My question is: Did you clean-out the ATI-driver BEFORE you installed the Omega?
If not...........a "mess of driver-stuff of two brands" on your system is more than likely.
Do you want to try and re-do the driver-install the proper way?

1st step............on sony`s page your Rom-Drive is not listed anymore (from 2002) actually it should better be a "Swedish" version available, but have a try.
Try this firmware from:
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=180
see the screenie:
Download the version and follow the "read me".
Do the update of the firmware at your own risk.

A Safe Mode reboot will disable anything extra the system doesn't absolutely need and it's quicker with nothing to check or uncheck. A Safe Mode reboot will narrow down the problem to whether it's your hardware, because nothing extra is loaded, causing the problem or something loaded into the system during the normal startup.

The game wont even start for me in safe mode. I have some little good news tho, I was playing for 2 hours straight last night before I got a crash, which is a huge improvement.
