Bought this game when it came out installed it fine then. But now i tried to install it again and i am not able to. I keep getting a error when trying to install at grandcampaign.ssa

the error is
"Error 1305.error reading from file C:\Program Files\Tilted Mill\Children of the Nile\data\Campaigns\GrandCampaign.ssa. Veryfy that the file exists and that you can access it"

I see the file at 24,921 KB but the installer keeps repeating that message.

A read error like that indicates either a problem with the CD or the drive. Check your CD for dirt or scratches. A dirty CD should be carefully cleaned with a soft cloth. A scratched CD may have to be replaced.

It appears that you have two sound devices installed which will give some conflicts. The two sound devices are Realtek and Sound blaster to fix this problem you need to uninstall the drivers for one of them and disable it in the bios.

You can also try the following to install the game:

1. Create a new folder someplace. Give it any name you want like TEMP. Open it and leave it open.

2. Using My Computer, use the File menu OPEN command to see the list of files on the CotN CD in your CD drive. You want to see the files not run the install.

3. Now select all the files and folders on the CD. Pressing CTRL+A will do this, or you can use the Select All command on the browser EDIT menu. This will highlight all the files on the Cotn CD list. Now use the COPY command to copy all the selected files.

4. Move over to the new TEMP folder you created and PASTE everything you copied there.

5. With the CD in the drive, double left click on the SETUP.EXE file in the TEMP folder you created. This will start the install process.

You can delete the TEMP folder and contents later, whether the install works or not.
