My game has crashed twice while playing Djedu. Both crashes at random times. First crash was before the first planting after starting, other crash near the finishing of the city.
Error message:
AppName: cotn.exe AppVer: 1.1.6.119 ModName: cotn.exe
ModVer: 1.1.6.119 Offset: 000e3e27
There have been no hardware/software changes in the last month. Other cities were played with no problems. Only programs running the background are: taskmgr.exe, explorer.exe and avgcc.exe (virus program). Dxdiag included.

I don't detect anything noteworthy. Is this a laptop computer?
Looks like a intergated video and audio chipset instead of seperate video and audio cards. You may want to look for a audio driver update file.
You may want to try a lower screen resolution like 1024x768 or even 800x600. Try a lowering the color to 16-bit and see what happens too.
Hopefully your game is not installed on your D: drive. Not a very big drive and not much room there.
Larger maps in the game can give some computers problems.
Try shutting down background apps like virus scanners, screensavers, etc. that may be running on your system before you run the game.

Its not a laptop.
Audio driver is as updated as Compaq will allow.
No game isnt installed on the D drive, thats my restore partition. C Drive is my normal install path.
My video is a card, the computer came with integrated chip that was disabled in the BIOS and my NVidia card added.
Will try to lower resolution and try again.

Ok, just change the game settings to a lower resolution and you may want to disable or lower some of the visual effects (quality) in the game.
You can always try a reboot to the safe mode and then try running the game that way to see if it will run without crashing. If it does then something in your normal bootup is loaded the is causing your problem.
I may be time for a newer audio card like a SB Audigy 2 or newer.

I do have a sound card still in the box that I was going to use on my other computer, but other computer had a nervous breakdown and needs a major overhaul.
Its a SoundBlaster Live 24-bit

The SB Live! card is a bit old now. They don't offer current driver updates for it that I can see.
Sound Blaster, IIRC, used offer a trade-in option for their older cards when you get a newer one. Don't know if they still do it, but you have to go through them direct. You can probably get a better price on just a newer Audigy card at a places like TigerDirect.com (http://www.tigerdirect.com) or PCMall.com (http://www.pcmall.com), or others. I've dealt with both those places in the past.

My C drive has alot of free space since I did a reformat about 2 weeks ago and havent reinstalled all my programs yet. My D Drive has a few files in it that I placed as backups from my C Drive when I did my reformat. Havent moved those files out yet.

Well changed my ingame settings around and the game is smoother and hasnt crashed yet. Changed the video settings to the in between Best Performance and Best Graphics, previously was Best Graphics. Also resolution changed to the 16 bit of the screen size.
Only graphical glitch is that I cant see as much of the sky as before. Small price to pay for better overall gameplay.
