Dowloaded the Patch but need help

I downloaded the patch for the game but need to know where to put it in the computer so will affect the game propperly.

The patch will extract its files to the default game folder. As long as you installed the game in the default path from the CD the patch installer should find it. The default install path for CotN is:

C:\Program Files\Tilted Mill\Children of the Nile

As long as your game is using this path, there should be no problem.

You can download the patch to any place on your hard drive, then just double click on it to start the install process. As long as your game is in the path above the install should proceed.

If you installed the game to a different path or drive, you will have to browse for the install folder of the game when the opportunity presents itself during the install process.

but my path does not say this mine says:

C:\Program Files\Sega\Immortal City

and it still won't install even after I put the path in - saying unknown version

That that is fine for the european versions of the game. Sega distributed it there. What you have to do is make sure that the patch installs to that same path. When you run the installer there should be a point where you can BROWSE for the game folder. Do that and select the folder it is isn and then continue with the patch install.

If you select the correct folder and you still get the error message you may not need the patch. Later versions of the game may have come with the updates installed.
