View Full Version : Roads and tiles underneath buildings!?

Why is that such a major thing for games slowing down?
Is it because the computer is trying to figure it out as a AI path?
I'm thinking my game began to slow massively after I used road tiles under certain parts of buildings to enhance thier looks...like the apothecary ( tiling that small open space) etc.

I think it was a compliation of several things that choked my rig.

City Size...500 homes with 1300 + peeps...I counted

Map size Very large map ( Son of Ra)

Old sound card...I just reinstalled my Extigy and the sound quality of FEAR and FAR CRY jumped remarkedly.

So I'll try again..only using a medium size map ( like Waset)


I just really liked my Son of Ra city...it was kicking...weeks of trial and error and finally getting the size ( number of noblesetc..I was going for 30)and walking distances right.
My city was absolutelu content with me...all gone now!
