problem with demo / probleme avec la demo

Hi everybody. I've got a huge problem with playing Cotn demo. In fact, when i start the demo, it load and then i can hear the sound but my screen seems to go in "stand by" mode. It goes totally dark. could anyone help me?

The best way to install a new graph-driver is to uninstall the old-one via software, run a driver-cleaner and install the new-one.

nope, it's not the driver, i have upgraded it, and it still doesn't work...

Ever used a registry cleaner?

Have you looked out for a newer FIRMWARE for your IDE-DVD ROM 6116 ??
Which is the present firmware-version?

Do you have a firewall & virusscanner/guard running?
Switch them off before starting the demo!

there is something strange with my problem. In fact, i tried something, i started the game in non full screen mode, and then i got the images, but it is a quite impractical way to play! So i guess it is something about the full screen mode, but what? i don't know...

More than likely its your video card's age that is causing this problem. What screen resolution is your desktop set at? Are you playing the game at the same resolution? Try setting the game itself to 800x600. If you can't get into the game to set it from the OPTIONS menu you can edit the cotn.ini with Windows Notepad. Look for the lines dealing with the screen resolution and change them to 800 and 600.

I've found the solution! In fact, it was a refresh rate problem. I changed in dxdiag the value "by default" to 60 mhz, and it works now !
