Saved game loading issues!

Well this might have been posted here before but i didint find any that helped me.

Every now and then when i save the game it(when im doing well in game :mad: ) CRASHES!!!

Well i restart the game and then i try load the game from where i saved it and it says ''Save game isint valid''

What can i do to prevent games from crashing!

P.S I dont think this affects the crashing but it only happens when im doing well in the game :D

Just a question: Do you pause the game to save it or do you just leave it running and try to save on the fly?

Also....if you comp is on the lower end of the specs....it could be that when your cities get to a certain size (IE: your successful and everyone wants to live in your city which means you have a lot more activity on you screen) your computer has trouble handling it and crashes when you tell it to save.

BTW Posting a dxdiag would help those tech saavy members help you a lot better. :D

Yes, post your dxdiag.txt file. We need to see how your comptuer is setup and that file will give us all the info we need about your system.

Other than that, you may want to try unsintalling CotN, do a disk clean up and hard drive defragmentation, then reinstall the game and the 1.2 patch.

Your save files are obviously getting corrupted, probably because the game is crashing when it attempting to write the file to the har drive, hence the "invalid" message when you try to load it. If you are lucky a uninstall, defrag, and reinstall may cure the problem.

Are you experiencing crashes when you do a manual save via the F4 Quick Save function or the F10 normal save function or is it when the game Autosaves?

Hey i have the exact same problem. my game is great, doesnt lag, plays well, no crashing or glitches etc. I get really really far and my city it fantastic so i try to save it and the whole thing crashes and when i restart and try to play the saved game it is invalid. I am not trying to quick save. :eek:

Please, Qwez and Pharoah attach your DxDiag files as Imhotep and Keith have already said. It really helps finding out what the problem might be.
