Patching

When trying to update CotN i get this message

This program cannot update Children of the Nile because of the following reason: x:\xxx\Chldren of the nile\CotN.exe

what do i do so i can get it updated ?!?!?!?

When i check the version its : 1.0.5.118 i think

Is it the right language patch? If it is I had the same problem, I disinstalled and reinstalled, then I could run the patch.

Where did you buy your copy of CotN? If it's from ebay or similar auction sites, there might be the chance that it is an illegal copy you received.

umm no its a legal copy bought it from a shop. i never use Ebay or that kinda stuff for bying games...

That's very good. This means that it should be solvable.
So as stated above: Have you checked if you've downlaoded the right language version of the patch?
Have you tried completely uninstalling CotN and reinstalling it?
Have you tried to download the patch again in case the download was corrupted?

yes i cheked that the patch was the right language but i still have to reinstall the game and see if it works.

My game was bought at ebay and it is a legal copy and was brand new a in box with a manual. After all the expenses the price was considerably lower than buying it now in Finland. And what's more inportant, I got it almost a month and a half earlier than waiting for it to come to our country. :)
But I know there are all kind of sellers out there. We've been reading about those also here and they are not nice stories. One has to be careful.
