Saving Scenarios problem

I tried to create a scenario of my own
I do it well and succeed well except for one tiny but critical problem:

I save often and usually it save ok
but suddenly at certain point (I did not figured out which) it start to save in a differnt way.
It took me little time to figure it saves it as a TUT (tutorial) file in the tutorial directory instead of the scenarios directory.
to copy the file to the right directory is not a problom but what do I do with the TUT ending? can I change it by name it differently?

and what to do to avoid such things?

Before you save, uncheck that small box down at the head of the line where the save option is.
