I'm now having problems, mostly severe lag, changing settings, updating or downgrading drivers not fixing it.

I'm also getting stuck people running on the spot, a bug i understand that was supposed to be fixed and one i didnt notice before i patched.

However, all said many things which didnt work pre patch now work, ie details on hopsitals and such places now say how many people used the place and when the building is in need.

Theres also a few things i dont really understand, for example, why can my royal family find luxury goods and common goods from shops 10miles away but my nobles can't find them just across the street. Thats with shops maxxed out on the goods, i'd understand if the shops were empty...

The distances in the game make almost no sence at all, i have commanders and overseers claiming they cant pray when they live right next to the temple thats setup for the god they want and it has a permenant priest preaching there.

There isnt any obvious method for placing structures either, ie Scribes...these can miss fields when placed right next to the farms in fact they miss them when between the farms and the fields themselves. At other times places furthest from the fields they seem to be more able to do thier jobs.

Overall, COTN is a nice game, but one i am wondering why i bought. Theres just too much missing.

About lagging after patch I wonder if you defragged your disk. Fragmented disk appears to be one of the causes of lagging.
Royal family has retainers for shopping, nobles instead to make efficient shopping need servant you have to specifically add. In order to worship people need the religious structure to be opened when they look for it, so if later it is open, it doesn't matter to the person and he gets dissatisfied.
Closeness of scribes to fields is only one factor influencing their efficiency, others are closeness to papyrus maker, common and luxury shops, religion, healthcare and entertainement (Noble houses throwing feasts).

That would explain the problem if it was a light complaint, but these are dark red complaints of nowhere to worship.

Plenty of servants as well.

Ach, i've pretty much had enough of the patch, i've reinstalled and not patched and the game is much better.

Although its abit deficiant in parts it still plays faster and it doesnt crash 2 hours after start of play like it did after the patch.

for all the detail in the game its still very lacking by comparison to other similar games.

score drops to 1/10

Citizens must earn their food. Then they can go aquire what they want with it.

There are many reasons, all good ones, that your families may not be worshiping.

Before you say, the game is broken, it does not do x y or z, ask yourself what is CotN trying to do? It is NOT trying to be like every other city builder. It is not about achieving perfection.

Don't be in a rush to get to some end goal, the pleasure is in the journey.

Try the tutorials if you have not already. They do a good job of showing just what the game does.

One of those things is it feels like a real place. This is no small feat, but it does come at a price- a price some gamers do not want to pay. That price is absolute control. It may be that a family member is sick, recently died, had to get something adressed far away- all of these organic reasons add up to something simple appearing to be out of place.

Like a real leader, you can't fix the past, you can only try and fix things so that history does not repeat itself. This is not Pharaoh II, nor is it Black and White or Dungeon Keeper. It is a far more realistic portrayal.

For some people this is a welcome relief. For others, they prefer the absolute control and perfection obtainable in other games.

As far as anything with your game getting worse with a patch, we have not heard that before and I would suspect some sort of fragmentation or some other hardware issue.

Hope this helps.
