View Full Version : Broken Disk Replacement?
When I first took my disk out I thought it was really hard to remove and was worried about breaking it, but it came out fine with no problems, a few stiff removals later, I look close, my disk has a fracture right along the inside of the disk (pictures included)
I looked on the meylin page, couldnt find anything of subtance nor anything addressing this on your support page, but does TM or Meylin offer at cost replacement disks? Please...

Josh: Ouch! :( ... Here's what the manual says on page 46:
Myelin Media, LLC (“Myelin”) warrants to the original purchaser (“You”) that the recording medium on which the software program Immortal Cities: Children of the Nile™ is recorded (the “Recorded Medium”) and the documentation that is included with this product (the “Manual”) shall be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase. If the Recording Medium or the Manual is found to be defective within 90 days from the date of original purchase, Myelin will replace the Recording Medium or Manual free of charge, provided You return the defective item with a dated proof of purchase to the retailer from which the Product was originally purchased or, in the event that the retailer does not accept returns, You may contact Technical Support for help and replacement information. This warranty is limited to the Recording Medium containing the software program and the Manual that were originally provided by Myelin. This warranty shall not be applicable and shall be void if, in the judgment of Myelin, the defect has arisen throught abuse, mistreatment or neglect.
So I should try and go through gamespot?
I just read their return policy and they will replace defective products..
Would a disk which through my removal along with a stiff jewel case broke, be considered "Defective"
I wrote Meyelin using the email address a few days ago for support on their website, but no reply yet...
Any Dev reading this?

I would try and go through Gamespot, as you should be able to exchange the disk and get a new one right then and there, as opposed to waiting for mail etc. That said, if they don't accept it (for whatever reason) I'd follow up with Myelin (thanksgiving weekend may be responsible for slow reply)
Thanks, I just emailed gamestop. I hope I get a replacement *crosses fingers*
I havent been able to play COTN for a week, I need a fix. ;)
And yeah I figured thanksgiving had something to do with it, (what an awful time to break a disk) but I saw 3 TM guys browsing the forums, I figured what better time to bump my post.
