Will the Second Intermediate Period when Egypt was ruled by the heka-kasut (aka Hyksos, Setiu) be visited in this game?

For those of you are saying what the hell is he talking about, the Hyksos were a group of people from Asia Minor who came into Egypt when Egypt was at a weak point in it's history (Old Kingdom I think). Over time the Hyksos took complete control over egypt, supposidly without any bloodshed. The Hyksos ruled from the northern Delta fortress of Het-Uart (Avaris). The Hyksos adopted Egpytian religion and culture, they also provided a lot of technological advances to Egypt which included the Chariot, the Horse, the Khepesh Sword (which was used with i think Iron, Egyptians used Copper) and the composite bow. The southern cities of Egypt were governed by Egypt's Princes, however they had to pay a tax to the Hyksos in the north. Eventually, an Egyptian prince named Seqenenra Tao led a revolt with the other princes and Nubian warriors against the Hyksos. Seqenenra's second son Ahmose completed the task which started the New Kingdom.

That would be cool if they touched briefly on this time in Egyptian History, For the first part of this mission, you had to raise an army and build a ton of war boats to ride up the nile, because that what they did. And for the next part of the mission, you had to take control of the fortress. I think if done right that would be really cool.

I'm quite sure the period will be touched, I believe it at least was in Pharaoh, but I'm not 100% sure.

I think we won't be seeing campaigns like in Zeus, I hope it's much more one long story and in that case the transition between certain periods will go quite unnoticed as you are just progressing through history.

I don't know if the Old Kingdom and New Kingdom are archeological (sp?) terms or Egyptian ones, but I'm fairly sure they didn't say at the 28th of September at 7:01 PM: "Hmm, the New Kingdom era has just started, ok?" :p Such a thing grows as time passes by. So, I hope that the transitions go quite unnoticed.

I imagine it'll be similar to Pharaoh, wherein for many of the early missions, you didn't have access/the ability to make chariots, then as the timeline in the game progressed, they became available. The various dynasties will come and go, without a specific mention of a transition to one or another.

If I remember Pharaoh (the game) correctly, there was no action taking place during the Intermediate periods, but we had scenarios in the campaign start at the end of the periods. Thinis started the Middle Kingdom period with restoring order, while Khmun starts with the Hyksos leaving.

I don't know what this period is called but how about when the Nubians took over and kept Egypt going. That is also when they started building those tall skinny pyramids of theirs.
