Problems w/ seniaros & loading

When playing all of the tutorials... I can only play once. I've sent at least40 error reports in the past three days. I can click and view the objectives but once I hit play, voosh there it goes. My computer won't load saved games either... Reinstalling it only worked once. Bad disc? It's free of dust and scratches, still loads and the computer doesn't need any tweeking or modifications. Any Suggestions?

Dog of the Sun: When you reinstalled were you able to play the tutorials once each again?

Have you tried emptying the C:\Program Files\Tilted Mill\Children of the Nile\data\Saved Games folder before restarting game and tutorials (not sure that reinstalling empties this out). (I have no idea whether the game "knows" if you've played tutorials once already but this is a shot.)

Post a DXDIAG.TXT file about your computer system. You may have a problem with hardware or drivers.

I am having what seems to be the same problem. I installed the game, it ran fine, I played one and a half of the tutorials, saved and quit. Since then, I have been unable to load any senario or saved game.

I have already upgraded my sound and video drivers to their newest editions, and I am running a GeForce Ti 4600 and a built in sound card from a Soyo K7MP2 motherboard. (Running Windows Xp with 512 MB Ram, Athlon 2400+) I would post a DXDIAG.TXT file but I am afraid I do not know how to produce said file. Any help/ideas/tips?

Since you're running XP,

1) click start button
2) Select run option (lower right of start menu)
3) In popup for run, in text box type dxdiag and hit ok
Once th programs done running hit save all information, do so and upload the resulting file here

I seem to have solved the problem after doing a few things:
1) Defragging the hardrive (despite the computer telling me that the hard drive did not need it)
2) Rolling back video drivers for my cards, something mentioned on the PlanetNile Forums for all Nvidia cards, and something in the readme
3) Disabling shadows

Now all works fine.
