View Full Version : basalt statues accross the river
I have problem moving small basalt statues across the river. The laborers moved one statue using the barge, but then they stack in the barge landing when trying to move the second one. No matter how many barge landings I have build and destroyed they still continue to stack with the statue in the barge landing. For some reasons barges do not go to them. May be barges stacked?

You might find an answer in this thread: http://www.tiltedmill.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4218where a similar problem was raised and resolved.

I had the same problem in Henen-Nesu, when I tried building a pyramid accross the river. You suggest deleting the barge landing and rebuilding it?
That link is about different problem. My statue did not disappear, you can see in the picture, but the workers themselves are in the building and walking at the same place.
BTW the single walking worker in the building that you see in the screenshot, is actually 4 workers. I am sure about this because they moved that statue to the dock before that shot.

Same problem here... 3rd tutorial; tried to dedicate temple on island to RA...
Stuck statue at dock, overseer in temple apparently ordering more and more statues which are staged at mine, 2 barges sitting at that dock "deciding what to do" while my returned navy ship is stranded up the river also "deciding what to do"- deleting the dock and rebuilding did not help; one can't delete the statue either, meanwhile the trading with fine limestone continues as if there was no problem- btw this dock was already in the tutorial so I assume its placement to be correct. Adding more landings on either side did not change anything either... :(
This also happens when going back to an earlier save and trying again. (repeatability on error is given).

Along with many crashes, I, too, am having this problem. When is the first patch due out?
Agreed, definitely a problem. Only solution for me is to ALWAYS build on only one continent and import materials. Never build a barge landing on a second continent as all trade items will end up being delivered to an "auto created" storage yard miles from anywhere, with building materials being unable to be delivered. I have an unconfirmed theory that trade materials are delivered to the last created storage yard.

In reading other posts, I noticed some requests for save game files that show the prob.
Here is my save for the situation described yesterday in the third tutorial.... hope my 'uninvited' posting is ok.

 Well, after uploading the file and going back to the tutorial...again, I'm happy to say, Ra across the Nile finally got its statue - I let it run as was and low and behold, after about 4 more years it finally was done :D
Guess I could name this third tutorial the...."Bush-turorial" - four more years :p

Sorry, sitearm9 didn't mean to step on any toes...., but getting the same feeling twice in two weeks is just ... say frustrating.... ;)
I still think there are some 'loose ends' in the docks-barges-transportation-system as I now have 3 barges sitting there 'deciding what to do'; strangely the 3rd one is also at the 'pickup' location not were the statue was delivered...
The warship is also still having a picnic at the cliffs...
I also noticed what seems to be an increase in 'stuck people' (both in quantity (amount) and quality (stay stuck much longer) when loading a saved game vs playing through in one sitting...
Btw, I love the game thus far, great concept and much more stable than some of the 'other' recently released games - kudos to the programmers and their quality bean counters :)

As noted here, http://www.tiltedmill.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4367 (http://http://www.tiltedmill.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4367), we're looking into the cross river barge transport problems. Thank you for the saves.
