Is there any way to turn on/off Day/Night cycle in game?
For example, I'd like to play the game all the time in Day time, even clock is still running with am/pm. Or all the time in Night time. As similar to SimCity 4 with F5 = Day time; F6 = Night time; and F7 = Day/Night combined.

All these years people have been asking for night in the games and you want to turn it off! ;)
There is no way to disable the day/night cycles that I know of.

The common mechanism in multiple games (Black and White, Evil Genius) is that units only heal at night time and only if they're resting. Turning off nighttime might substationally shorten your people's lives.
Instead, go to the display screen and turn up brightness.

Oh, cause I'm running this game on my high-end system, but my graphic card is considered as a low-end one, ATI AiW Radeon 7500, 64MB DDR. It's not fully supported by DirectX 9. Every times when the in-game light change, the whole game seems a bit of slugging an chopping (happened when city gets big with Pyramids built). I personally prefer Day/Night cycle on, but in case of performance for minimum requirements systems. I know that it's time for me to upgrade my graphic card just for this game :o

I hate to say it, but games always drive my upgrades.

I am buying a whole new computer - the current one comes in just below CotN's minimum requirements. Officially, it's because the computer is old and tired, which it is. Unofficially (don't tell the wife ;) ), it's all for CotN! Luckily, I don't have to wait till next year (it sometimes pays to have emigrant family members): ETA for me is 20 December! Thirty-four days and counting....
But I must admit, building a city during permanent night does seem quite fun!

Good luck with your new system!! :D
By the time mine is finished (also largely for CotN :) ), it too will be virtually a new machine.
Btw: It is not only my machine that is growing old and tired. :o

Hi just wanted to throw in my 3 cents on the day and night issue.
I appreciate that the day/night cycle is something that people have asked for, but I would love to be able to turn it off.
Although, I've only been playing CotN for a couple of days, I am a seasoned vet on allllll of the other games that these wonderful people have developed and was waiting anxiously at my local store on the day of release for CotN.
I completely agree with the philosophy behind the game play, love the non-monetary, non-crowded-with-walkers, open ended scenario focus of the game, but I still find myself irritated by having to wait for daylight. My little villagers are busy bee's and tend to go work in the fields at 9pm and sometimes that blasted little son of the baker wanders around all night and heads for home at 6am. [Where are his parents! :) ] It's bothersome to have to wait or speed up the game just so I'll be able to actually *see* the game I'm playing.
I've turned up the brightness, which helps - but then when daylight comes the beautiful, rich colors and textures in the game look really washed out and I find myself readjusting the brightness back to normal. And yes, I do pause the game and do my building and following people and arranging things - but I'd love to do all those little right-click thingies, like checking on the status of the farm houses, or town houses or if my goods are accessible while the game is not paused.
Okay, so I just started and I'm sorta slow, but I'm really fascinated by watching the game play. I always end up placing a building just as the sun goes down and those hardy villagers do a lot of construction at night - I wanna watch it, I don't want to squint at the screen and zoom in so my feeble eyes and actually see what's going on. Maybe after I'm completely competent the land mass won't seem so vast and I'll be able to keep track of just where the heck that stash of emeralds are hidden in the dead of night, but at the moment it's the most frustrating part of the game for me.
So please, I beg of you, please consider adding a patch that will allow me to turn off the night.
Pretty please?
If you do, I'll buy all your games forever, and my friends will get nothing but Tilted Mill products for Christmas, Birthdays and Weddings.
Cross my toes.
