Large Statues?

In the "Son of Ra" scenario, are laborers able to quarry "Large Basalt Statues"?

For some reason, I have 40 small statues, but no large ones when setting the Overseer to quarry basalt. :confused:

Azeem, have you placed the Large Statues you want built? They are quarried as needed only, and you must place them first. Then the Overseer will quarry them. They will quarry small all the time, unless you place a large. :)

Same goes for Obelisks and stele. They will only begin to quarry them after you place one, and need it.

I have a Cult Temple and two Colossal Seated Pharaoh statues. They strangely seem to not want to quarry Large Statues.

Azeem... do you have an Overseer set to oversee construction.

If you only have one, I find if I set it to oversee construction until he goes over and inspects the temple and
statues, then swap him back to quarrying that they will then get to "big ones"....

If you have 2 overseers and one is set to oversee construction and one is quarrying, I am not sure what to say.

Not in the "Son of Ra" scenario. I recieved small statues and nothing but small statues. I had up to 90 small statues, but absolutely no large ones.

But then I noticed something interesting about this map: there are TWO Basalt Quarries. So I placed an overseer closer to the second Basalt Quarry to the north. And lo and behold, that quarry produced LARGE Basalt statues. If I'm not mistaken, it appears that in the "Son of Ra" scenario, one Basalt Quarry produces Small Statues while the other one produces Large Statues. Very strange...

Is there a base constructed out of bricks made for a statue? This occurs after you select a statue and place it on the map.

Do you have a stone carver?

And I might have already found the solution to this little puzzle, as I noted above. :)

That certainly doesn't sound right. As they are both labeled Basalt Quarry, they should both produce the same thing. I noticed their are two of each type of quarry on that map. If those two Basalt Quarries are really different, they should be labeled so. Might want to report this to TM.

It's really wierd. It might be the same with the "Daughter of Isis" scenario (which also has two basalt quarries). Wonder if the developers have caught this yet?
