Might be a tad early for this question, but at least it will be here when it is time. Since CotN is going gold, or went gold, and is going to be sold in about 3 days, with good results I believe, what will Titled Mill do next? Another city builder game or something completely different?

Thanks

I'm sure they're working on something as we speak. Or going on vacation. they deserved it. They worked hard on this game. And I believe its going to be a top seller.

anyhoo..,I would like an Greece themed game. I'm going to keep saying a ancient greece until i get it lol. I want a game simliar to Zeus. Especially the gods interaction.

I want to see Zeus Smite down someone who offended him. I just loved Zeus and Posideon and would to See TM do a city building in Ancient Greece. With Gods interferring.

Not me, shell (no offense). That is probably my greatest love of CotN: no gods interfering.

I didn't like it in C3, liked it even less in Pharaoh, and then really started to hate it with Zeus and Emperor when they started walking around and such.

Of course, I just deal with it, but I would really prefer to have things stay the way they are where that is concerned. :)

I don't care if they include gods, as long they have an option to turn them off if a player desires.

theres a thought googoo. And maybe TM will have that in the next game they create. whether its ancient greece or not.

and no offense. some people dont like the gods interaction. To me I do. I thought it was very challenging and kept the game intresting. With COTN no gods is still challenging.

You have to keep the people happy with worship. If not than your gonna be overthrown.

Well we'll see what the next game is. I'm sure to love it either way.

Personally I still want a mesoAmerican culture game. However I would love to see an Immortal Cities:Children of the .....uh.....Greeks. All kidding aside I'm curious as to how the concept of sheep for wool and goats for cheese would work in a CotN-like environment. Of course, now that I think about it I'd love to follow around a patron of the Hippodrome as well....so many choices so many possibilities. :D

I personally would like to see Rome done. Immortal Cities: Children of Romulus is a good title too. ;)

Here are some features I’d like to see:

Modeling information flow through society: People don’t have perfect knowledge of the entire world. Instead they know a few places around where they live about what items they provide, the quality and price, and then exchange information while at parties and dinners with eachother. Each walker evolves a list of favorite places for each item/service as they gather things. They exchange this info at social events with different levels of exchange effectiveness depending on the event (a large festival might exchange only a little info, a dinner party would exchange a lot more). Low class people are limited to a shorter list length, maybe only 3 places for each common item they need and 1 for items they rarely or even never use/buy ("Everyone knows Cheap Street" ). As class increases, each item list length increases and they have information on more items/services. The items tracked increase in number and the information they have is more detailed. Parties, dances and social events are extremely important because of the information flow they allow. Families all tend to shop at the same place even if it’s a bit out of the way for some, because they all know it very well.

Price, quality differences in products: Workmanship level of products varies with workmanship skill level, the quality of the resources used, and time invested. Not all mats are alike. Not all clothes are the same quality. Not all homes are equally well built. Haggling happens with every transaction, with price reflecting quality. People not doing well financially will buy lower quality items to get by during their rough period, with a slight dip in social standing. People better off will buy better quality items to enhance their social standing. Buying better quality tools also increases both productivity and quality of workmanship, but tools (like all items) also have wear causing declining usefulness, and eventually need to be replaced.

Different ways of determining social status: Making high quality products, owning fashionable clothes, owning a big house, having many servants, holding parties, attending religious ceremonies, what job you have, what offices you serve, where you shop and the social status of the rest of your family all raise social status. Some methods of raising social status have diminishing returns if they're repeated too often.

Extended family relationships: Work relationships are about sharing knowledge with others in your profession about how to do your job, but social relationships are about family and neighbors. Parties, dinners, baptisms, marriages and funerals all tend to be family, neighbors, and a few honored guests (who cherrypick info from the assembled guests' info lists). This is why some families all tend to shop at the same place, go to the same temple, etc.

Unfortunately I didn't. Children of the Nile is my first city builder besides for the Zeus: Master of Olympus Demo.

Egypt IS in the Middle East.

Id still like to see a Celtic city builder.. but it might be a bit too dull. unless it were a fantasy CB, then you could pretty much do what you want...

cows would be currency

youd build/designate/plant groves for your druids

defend against raiding tribes

trade with the fae/Otherworld

mead/ale makers

Egypt IS in the Middle East.

I meant the area where Babylon and Persia existed, but I guess that would be more Asia Minor then?

Emperor is my favorite even over Zeus/Poseidon but only because I really got into Chinese history and art. Plus it had that feng-shui harmony thing and I've studied feng-shui (separate topic!). BUT I played ALL the scenarios in BOTH games and honor and love *like* them for their uniquenesses.

Have to admit I tried but did not have the patience to get the "hang" of Caesar III and Pharaoh (although I have them both).

Regarding Emperor it annoyed me the reviewers said it was "more of the same" vs. something new... So now I LOL at the reviewer who panned CotN. No more "Mister More of the Same", AYE Mr. Reviewer?! :D

Unfortunately I didn't. Children of the Nile is my first city builder besides for the Zeus: Master of Olympus Demo.

I think that to be absolutely technical about it, Egypt is in Africa.

Even though we would all tend to think of it as mid-east. ;)

Wodinoneye:

Yes --- imagine being able to try to build a replica of Machu Picho (?spelling) by being able to pile up several cliff units in order to form those huge mountains on which it was built.

I must admit that I have "a thing" about building mountain-type structures with terraces and strategic gaps as well as hairpin-type paths up to the top of the mountain. This sort of setting would strongly encourage this sort of terrain building. :D

Egyptians are Africans......and if that doesn't sit right with you.....just remember that Russians are Asian and you'll be all screwed up LOL. :D

With that logic, that makes Canadians Americans too, since they live on the North Amercian continent. ;)

If you look at the location of which contient a country is on alone you'd be right, but you have to take into account the culture of the people living there. And by that standard the western Russians would be slavs eastern Russians would be Asian, and the Egyptians would be more arabic.
