Hello there, I loved these boards, and I can't remember why I stopped. Although no one will reconise me, all I want to know is what has changed here, sorry if it involves excavating equestrians ( if it does then please stop). But can someone fill me in on anything other than how CotN is getting on?
After all, these forums seemed to harbour the traditional warm, welcoming city building community, I hope things haven't changed. Sounds a bit strange, as I could probably spend a few hours searching for threads since August, but I am sure you know more than a search ever could. ;)

The game is out of beta testing and has gone gold. U.S. release date is for around November 9 and we just heard that the European release date has been pushed back to late January or February because of the lack of awareness of the game over there.
You can pre-order CotN in many places now.

Welcome back to the forums.
The forums are still full of funny, warm people who are anxiously awaiting CotN.
I haven't heard anything about the release overseas, but Keith is a luminary so he may know more than the rest of us gruntz. ;)

Thanks Angel! I missed that one... maybe it came out later than the last time I looked at the forums.
I had scouted the CotN site for info, but it wasn't there.

Well, I heard that unpleasant news but didn't want to dwell upon it. I meant how the community is as a whole. Looks a bit dispersed now...

Yeah, I guess it is a little, but that should change now that people are getting the game.
I feel very bad for those overseas that have to wait longer. :(

The game's a bit cheaper in the U.S. than it willl be in Europe. :/ If you have access to a credit card, you can can order at i.e. at gamestop.com for prety much the same price (including shipping). Not a perfect solution, but an option nonetheless. (I'm in the same boat!)

I don't know whether this is just VAT (so this may be false alarm to mainland Europeans) but usually ordering from America nowadays results in an extra £13 shipping fee, not actually mentioned by the online shops. Something to do with mail problems. Just a little something to make us panic.
I am a little perturbed at the title of the latest news article on the SEGA subject. It makes it sound as if Sega are doing us a favour. Providing an additional marketing push is probably the most gentle explanation I have ever heard. Very political, but it is still rubbish. :p
