View Full Version : I am very angry that D2D download games cannot be updated

I just saw that the new enhanced version is on direct2drive for sale. I don't understand how if tilted mill cant update the old version that was purchased on direct2drive, why anyone would buy a new version from d2d. Obviously, the developers and d2d cant coordinate a simple patch. This is bad news for people who buy games online. I am really upset that people who bought the box version can now have the enhanced but the only way I can have the enhanced and therefore the expansion is to rebuy the game. Great customer service. Is there any movement on a patch for d2d customers or have we simply been ignored by both companies.

Longtime purchaser of all Tilted mill games.

A patch is in the works by Direct2Drive. Unfortunately, there is no ETA on this as of right now. Sorry :(

You may want to submit a ticket to their support center (http://support.direct2drive.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=3091).

I did post to support. D2D said it was the responsibility of the developer and and directed me to Tilted Mill. TAG.

Jailiya, could you please forward that email to me at my address, my first name at tiltedmill.com? It contradicts the last information we have from them, which is that they're working on a patch, but they don't have an estimate on when it will be completed. Thanks very much.

I have also come across the issue regarding the patch for CotN (when CotN is downloaded via D2D). I just sent the trouble ticket to D2D regarding the issue, so if I hear any additional information about this problem, I will be happy to post it here.

It reads as follows:



We don’t make the game patches. These come from the game developers. Our games are pre-patched saving you the hassle of downloading updates.

If you are not seeing any patches listed on our patches page, it’s either that there is no update or the game developers have not sent the patch to us.
