Lag issues please help

Hi, I got a new graphics card that should easily handle this game, but when I installed it and went to play it is very choppy. When I try to move arund a fresh map that has no units built yet i get bad lag. Any advice on what I can do to optimize my computer for this game. . and gaming in general?

One thing I noticed, your sound drivers are from year 2003, too old.

Ok, I don't know anything about audio. Can I get any Nvidia audio driver, or does it have to be specific to what I have? When I went to their site it was prompting me for card model and I am not sure what came in this old thing.

I think you have nforce 2 series motherboard audio and this seems to fit the bill http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_audio_4.57_win2kxp Did you fully uninstall the previous graphic card drivers before installing the new one because left over drivers can cause lag? I don't think you have an audio card as such it's incorporated in the motherboard so the above link should work. Make sure you have a copy of the old audio drivers if possible before you download this one. Good luck. Also try a defrag and stop any unnecessary processes running in the background when you play the game.

Increase your page file size to at least 3000mb that will help too.
