Hi all, and team !

As title said, i'm unable to use the game after patching from original game edition to enhanced edition.
i explain :
1st - the patch is so called set the original game compatible with VISTA. Well, the game is already fully compatible with vista.

2nd - after patching the game claim d3ddx9.dll, wich is a DX9 file. But VISTA use DX10 !!! so the patch set the game UNcompatible with VISTA...

3rd - after dx9 installation, the game claim the ORIGINAL CD in cd drive... Hem... Ok, the cd IS in the drive ! So what ? It's absolutly NOT a matter of cd drive age, because the game was working good just 10 min before patching. And after, not at all.

Suggestion : please, make us a patch which really set the game usable and/or no need of the cd drive.

I've looked for some help in this forum but nothing can help with these problems (when the game works perfectly, then no more, after patching).

Please Help.:(

McFerson...Have you checked that you have a new version of DirectX installed? There is a post titled "Known issues in the Enhanced Edition" that might help you with this problem.

certainly :). have you read my post ?

i use windows vista, there is directx 10, AND, because the game ask me that after the patch, i've ALSO install directx 9 (last version).

And, no, this post you talk about doesn't help me.

Since you downloaded and installed the new July update of dx9 you may want to attach a copy of your dxdiag so in case there is someone who can help you figure it out may have a better idea of whats going on. :)

From the FAQ (http://www.immortalcities.com/cotn/gameinfo/support.php) :

Copy Protection Issues (http://www.immortalcities.com/cotn/gameinfo/support.php?id=1038)

d3dx9_33.dll Issues (http://www.immortalcities.com/cotn/gameinfo/support.php?id=1049) (Vista is also supported on the download page)

McFerson...Apologies for missing the information in your post. This kind of problem can be tricky to track down and the solutions often surprisingly simple. The Dxdiag info. might help, who knows...
