Game will not load due to a missing file

Hi, i downloaded and updated my copy of children of the nile and when trying to load the game i recieved an error message saying there was a missing file. the file name is,

d3dx9_33.dll

I havnt loaded a dxdiag file because i didnt think it was neccesary. I have uploaded the error message though.

I'm going to guess that you're running XP and not Vista as I haven't seen any Vista users chime in with this problem, so you'll need to update your version of DirectX 9c. Follow the link provided in this ('http://www.tiltedmill.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17004') post and download the newest version of DirectX. That will take care of that missing file error you're getting.

I did update my directX, but I am still getting that message. Did I miss something?

You could be surprised what a dxdiag can tell us. ;) You might want to upload it?
