Old game, new player problems

I recently bought from Amazon, CotN, running the tutorials I find that right clicking on luxary shops, or right clicking on the palace, does not if fact give me options as stated in the tutorial. I have downloaded the 1.3 USA patch, but that will not load since It informs me that the progam version is not recognised. Is it my copy of the program, or is something else amiss here?

Have you tried the UK version of the patch? Depending upon where your local store sources their stock from, might be the UK version rather than the US.

Yes, the lanaguage version of the patch and the game must match. The U.S. and U.K. english game and patches are considered two different language versions.

Try the U.K. patch if you bought your game outside the U.S. and its in english.

Great help from you guys. I downloaded the English update file and it loaded. Next problem is a dll file is missing, will check threads to see if this issue is addressed.

Update to the latest version of DX 9 it's required by patch 1.3.
