I played all of the tutorials without a problem. Now when i go to start the Grand campain I get the map but when i click a city and try to click open the game crashes and i return to the desktop. I read a few other posts similar to this but there were multiple solutions... I don't know what to do and i really want to play the game. Can someone please help?

- Find the game executable (in the folder where you installed the game for the patch version, or in the Steam directory\steamapps\common\children of the nile for the Steam version).
- Right-click on it and select "Properties".
- Go to the Compatibility tab.
- Check the box labelled "Run this program as an administrator"
- If you're running the Steam version, start the game by double-clicking on the .exe in the Steam directory\steamapps\common\children of the nile (that is, don't start the game through the Steam "My Games" page, or you'll get an error message saying "This game is currently unavailable"). Otherwise, start the game normally.

I'm running this on XP SP2 in an administrator account. And getting CTD's in the tutorials. Will it help me to specify on the COTN executible to 'run as administrator'?

From what I understand, this shouldn't make a difference in XP. My best guess is that the issue you're experiencing is different (though it would be great if I were wrong about that, since we're currently testing a fix for the Vista permissions issue), and I've followed up on its thread (http://www.tiltedmill.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17048).

I started the 2nd tutorial and did lots of save, crashed just before building the hospital (this has happened 3-4 times). Then I started game again, loaded save and was able to finish the tutorial. ???

Here's the save. Not so fast - can't find it. Children of the Nile\data\saved games, right?

It'll be in your My Documents folder, in Tilted Mill/Children of the Nile/Saved Games.
