In playing the game I have discovered, what seems to be, three buildings that will cause the game to crash about 24 game hours after they are placed. I am running the game on the lowest graphical settings (as I'm running on a laptop). The buildings are: Textile Factory, Brewery, Lumber Mill. If I keep building my society without these buildings, the game remains stable. Place one and within 24 hours, poof. Crash. Sadly these are the mainstays of my industrial society.
It can be any one of these buildings or all three. It doesn't seem to matter how many or where I place them, the game will crash just as fast, or slow.
I'm running:
Windows Vista Premium
Intel Core 2 Duo, 1.66ghz. (T5500 Chip)
224MB shared memory, using - Intel GMA 950 Chipset
All drivers and patches are in place.
Is there anything else I can post that would help?

Ive built all of these in multiple cities and dont crash.
Currently have one that has 17k+ people, $1mill+ and 1,000+ jobs available, including the 3 buildings you list.
Despite myself seemling making it crash, it will not crash just sitting there or 24 hours after creating the buildings, Ive crashed maybe 2 times on this city (wow!) and have restarted scs and continued on, still growing strong.
Sorry, I dont think its the buildings crashing out the game, atleast not those 3 (or any I've placed so far), other things like moving and stuff seem to make the game crash.

P.S. Im left handed and if my windows mouse settings are set to "left" the the pitch n turn camera dont work. LOL. guess only 2% of the population is really effected by that :| i wonder how many7 left handed sim players there are. hmmmmmm. can we get a poll please. LOL.

Linear_Core -- If you could, would it be possible for you to attach your industrial cities that you got to crash with these buildings? More specifically, can you place those buildings down and save a few hours before the issue arises? It would be very helpful in being able to hammer down this issue.

Is it possible that it's not the buildings doing it, but the grass layers over the ground? That it might be when certain buildings are placed, or a building is placed in a certain way, it makes the grass and the terrain layers collide and causes the conflict and trips up the video adapter trying to render the collision causing the error?
I'm not computer savy, so I hope I'm not coming off like a dunce. I say this because if I adjust the slider levels on the random map generation page, I can make my game crash by setting the sliders to extreme levels, such as 1-10 and 90-100, and the crash seems identicle to my screen freezing when a city crashes. I have also had a few moments when trying to get the camera as close to the ground as possible, the grass acts weird and sometimes it looks like it's floating just above the terrain and another time the grass completely vanished.
I have also used most of the smaller buildings in different cities, some of those cities crash, some don't, but some that don't crash include all of these buildings that are being identified as being the culprit.
The only corrilation I can find is that the bigger your city is, the greater chance it is your city will become unstable. And that might be because the more buildings that are plopped, the more chance for the bug to show up.
If I'm way off base and you know it, please tell me so I don't continue to waste my time and think along these lines.
EDIT: I don't know if this means anything, but I did a quick test for population errors and so far it seems total population isn't causing me to error out. What I did was pumped up the max spots for a few homes, workplaces, and venues so I can see I could isolate to some degree, the population from the buildings.
I modded my huts to have 100 pop, plopped a few, and watched. So far, the city is stable.
