Uninstall then Reinstall = how?

I really messed up my game trying to Mod :eek:

I tried to uninstall using the Start/My Computer/Uninstall and it deleted the GAME - but did NOT delete the save(d) files (games, downloaded mods etc).

I went into the Program Files/Electronic Arts and tried to manually delete these folders/files - and I get a message about the disk being full and file being locked!! It will NOT let me delete these files!!

What can I do to clear ALL of this game off of my PC so I can reinstall and start FRESH???

It should come with it's own uninstaller. If it is missing then try to reinstall and maybe the uninstaller will then appear. Just deleting folders will leave other things behind, and you wont be able to get rid of them.

Thanks Rnett - I can't see that it has an uninstaller available.

But I was finally able to delete the "data" files (don't know why it did Not work before??).

So I uninstalled the game using Start/Control Panel/Add Remove programs to get the actual game uninstalled. Then went into all of the other areas where the Data is stored.

I was (finally) able to get the game running - missed one file I guess as I still have all my 'trophy's' available TeeHee and this isn't all bad ;)

I just loaded the game and started a Small Town - it seems to now be working correctly!

Well i had to uninstall it here is what i did, and if you don't know how to do it then don't touch it, this is what i did, i went to start button, run and type regedit you get all your registery keys you need to goto two places first place is, HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Goto software, electronic arts and you see sim city society, delete it, then you have to goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE GOTO software electronic arts, you see Sim City Societies delete it, then you need to goto program files in your c drive and delete the folder to the place where its installed, then delete the other one in vista program data in other windows its in your local folder app i think, where ever you see sim city society folder delete it, then run the cd and click uninstall, and it will uninstall, then you be able to reinstall it, if you not comfortable going into registery editor then don't do it, it does take along time to uninstall if you don't delete any folders, this way it will not take to long, hope this helps you out, but remember you only need to delelte the folders in registery that says sim city societies and the one in program folder, gl with it, I had done this and it was a fast uninstall processed.;)
