View Full Version : Simcity cannot start

after installing the Simcity: Societies, I tried to running the program but I encountered "C++ Runtime Error"

I tried to install the update which I have downloaded from www.simcity.com but i got error like
"Simcity societies is not install or properly installed on your machine, please install or reinstall."

When i double click on the drive that contain the CD, it didn't give the option to reinstall or install but play button is available

graphic driver i tried 7.10, 7.09, 7.08, all encountered problem

u mean this game cannot run with PC having virtual drive?

Sometimes the games will have 'conflict' with virtual drives.

The game itself does not object but the game`s Copy protection SECUROM.

I remove the 2 virtual drive and it STILL cannot start

It seems you are facing problems with the game being installed properly.

Could you please access your Control Panel, and click on “Regional and Language Settings”.
Click on the “Languages” tab, and then click on “Details…” within the Text services and input languages box.

Please remove any other Installed services and leave only the “English (United States) one.

Please also ensure that you are not running any other foreign language input software, IME programs for inputting any asian languages especially, which might conflict with the installer causing it not to install correctly to the correct install path.
