I have been a HUGE fan of both Children of the Nile and Caesar IV. I only found out yesterday that they had announced a new SimCity, and knowing that they have asked for Tilted Mill's help only makes me more excited! Your games are always new and exciting, and the fact the EA trusted and believed in you guys enough to have you take charge of such a legendary franchise only confirms that you rock! Kudos to you... only your third game! I can not wait, and I am sure that despite some ot the fear out there, you will continue the magic that Sim City has provided through the years!

Hopefully they will. We will see.
They have enough time to make a good game. :D
A Flop will be a huge problem for their image.

#1 beauty is in the eye of the beholder
#2 harassing a poster for enjoying a game concept and having an alternate point of view is trolling and narrowminded-arrogant
#3 simcity elitist truth is not the only truth
#4 why are you here if you hate this game, there is and always will be sc4k.

@King Faticus What you said sums up my view rather well. I was amused though that both the posters were already tagged in my ignore list.

King Faticus, the only hope worth hoping for is hoping everything turns out in the end.
After thinking about it since last night and this morning, I didn't want Simcity: Societies to have the Simcity moniker because if it was successful, it would justify the thoughts of the EA execs who seem to believe there isn't a Simcity Community already out there and consequently, there might not ever be a Simcity 5.
In keeping with the the only hope worth hoping thing, I'm hoping that Simcity: Societies proves to be the better way to play. Here's to hoping I might spend the kind of time with this style of play as I have with Simcity 1-4.
It does look interesting in many ways. I always did want a more 'ground level' playing style in Simcity, where you can more control over the way your city grows and why it grows the way it does. I like the idea of radiant demand (ie social energy) and the need to have complimentary buildings. I like the idea of venues.
Anyways, here's to hoping it's a great game with a lot of sequeals.
