I trust both of them

Best option, cuz I only trust Tilted Mill!

<it's TM's game anyway :D >

However, if EA doesn't market it properly (Sierra/VU Games  ), I will be cranky.

I am confident in TM. I don't care too much about EA, since I expect what I am interested most (the game) will be taken care by TM.

"I'll wait and see" - Best option right now.

I'll wait and see.
We must give TM a change. Now, Maxis is too busy with their project: Spore, The Sims. I don't think they have time to develop SC5.
But I hope they will develop a new SC when Spore is releashed.
PS: sorry for my bad english.

I think you need to have two more options in the poll; "I trust EA" and "I trust Titlted Mill", to fulfil the premise of the title "do you trust TM or EA with SS" :)

We have so little info on these games, I have to wait and see. Simcity 3000 and Simcity 4 both turned out great after EA games bought maxis. Well, now Simcity has been outsourced to an entirely new 3rd party. I guess we'll wait and see.

I love what TM has created so far, I'm happy to believe they will make a good modern cb.

I do not trust ea, they have ruined too many games. Having said that, I will continue to follow the development of th SS and pray that TM can pull this off dispite EA's curse.

Last EA game that i played is C&C3 Tiberian wars [dissapointed off course], before that Sim City 4, and in future Crysis [not their game, thank God].

Caesar V: Sim Societies will not be on my buying list.

I guess with such well-developed antipathy towards anything next-gen, and a dictatorian attitude, DonMikimax has already ensured s/he misses out on any future with Sim City. I hope that the game is a huge success with fans and new players alike, and then Don can try and better fill his/her time filling in complaint letters to governments about serious issues.
I also will have to wait and see what comes out, but I am pretty confident that neither EA nor TM will want to jeopardise their credibility in the gaming world. I like the Sims 2, which I was superficially against before it came out as I had invested so much time in the original Sims. Now, having invested so much time and effort in SC4, I am probably anxious over the new game for similar reasons - not wanting to give up some of the enjoyable features - but, overall, I am confident neither will ignore us SC4 fans completely. Already, I have seen two of my big WANTS for a new SC game have been met in this one - Skyline views, and cultural/society atmosphere to (hopefully!!!) match city architecture. I loved the comment that they looked at the differences between cities like Paris and Mecca, etc, and worked on incorporating it into the game... Can't wait to see more!

This keeps getting brought up, and every time its just as easily refuted... they ignored us for the past FOUR YEARS.. why should they listen to anything now?

Because Tilted Mill only recently took up this project? EA may have ignored you, I don't know, but Tilted Mill will listen to anything you have to say and the only thing that will hold back any changes you suggest is the deadline EA has set.

Right... That's why many members of SimTrop ASKED for skyline viewing, 3D vision, different cultures, etc, and suddenly, WOW, TM has included skyline viewing, 3D vision, different cultures, etc. but of course that has been purely out of not listening to what people want...
Take a step back for a while and make your judgment on release day...

I remember before SC4 came out, everyone was expecting it to be 3D. And it turned out it wasn't. I remember some articles saying stuff like "disapointment" "years behind" and such.

I remember before Citylife hit the shelves articles and people saying "Yeah, cultural differencies, hurraaaa, that will bring new things to city builders" (well, the game turned out to be ... but on a general basis)

The point is, some people shout against 3D when a few years ago they were disapointed Simcity4 wasn't 3D (there was an interview from Maxis to explain why they didn't do it 3D to turn off the shoutings...) and some people who were saying that cultural differences could be good are now against.

I don't thing those or other changes are good or bad. It's more how they are implemented that makes them good or bad.

If we, SC players, shout and turn our back to TM, chances are the game will be arverage or worse.
If we stay around, help them with our playing experience, tell them what interests us, what for us makes the difference between another Citylife and a great interesting and challenging game, then chances are much greater the SCS will be good or even great.
